Welcome to the Greenwich Adult Social Care Policy and Procedures Portal (APPP).
This portal is part of our ongoing commitment to improve our working practices and standards for all staff and managers. We fully recognise the importance of having resources at our fingertips to enable practitioners to be supported with the latest national and local policy guidance. Greenwich’s APPP aims to deliver policies, procedures and practice guidance that are up to date, updated and in one place. Having clear standards and easy navigation to the right information and guidance assists in the delivery of appropriate care to enable people to live as independently as possible. This portal will continue to be updated and developed on an ongoing basis.
This Portal uses the Care and Support Act Statutory Guidance as its base, in the terms it uses, in some of the chapter content and in the way the Contents is laid out. Please note the chapters taken from the statutory guidance have sometimes had language and legal references simplified, and where full references are required please consult the guidance directly. There are links to the relevant chapters in the guidance at the top of each chapter. There is information in other chapters which is not related to the Care Act 2014, as clearly there are aspects of adult social care practice not affected by the Act.
